This all needs to be cleaned up in a rational way, ideally in one preferences tab. These all refer to the same thing: choosing an device for playback on either a computer screen, (video) interface hardware or audio hardware. Nomenclature varies from "playback" to "transmit" to "output" to "device". To be clear - why am I choosing "Adobe Desktop Audio" instead of directly choosing audio hardware (which can be configured as needed). This is overcomplicating what should be a simple option of choosing which audio hardware to use for playback - calling this "Adobe Desktop Audio" is more techspeak. Likewise, what you're doing in the "Audio Hardware" tab is essentially setting up the options for "Adobe Desktop Audio" which can then be chosen as an option in the "Playback" tab.

In other words, it should answer the question: "On what device am I going to see this and hear this?" I think probably most users think of "playback" as video and audio happening together, and it would be nice to be able to set that up in one place with meaningful choices.
